Can you really be anything you want?
“You can achieve anything you want.” That’s a message we often hear from parents, teachers and self help gurus. Unfortunately it’s not entirely true. If you don’t have athletic ability, I doubt that you will win Olympics in track and field. Suppose you don’t have much money now. You set a goal to make one million dollars in one year without a prior business experience or credible money making idea. Your chances to achieve such a goal are very slim. Sadly some people take “you can achieve anything that you desire” message to their hearts literally only to become disappointed or even crushed when they realize that their dreams are impossible to achieve. Am I saying that you shouldn’t believe in your ability to reach goals or that you shouldn’t set any goals at all? No way! You just have to be realistic in terms of your talents, skills and current circumstances. In other words, you can still achieve anything you want when you set right goals. |
