You’ve probably seen numerous infomercials promoting yet another diet or exercise equipment. Of course there are success stories, “before and after images” and various guarantees. Their common theme is simple – if you follow a certain diet or use some fitness gadget to exercise 15 minutes a day, you will have a near perfect body in a relatively short time.



Well, it’s not that simple. Even if the diet is effective, most people return to their regular eating patterns. As far as exercise goes, it takes much more than 15 minutes or even an hour a day to achieve perfect looks.

Many great looking TV personalities and movie stars exercise a few hours a day. They have best personal trainers and nutritionists at their disposal. If they happen to be spokesman for a diet or exercise equipment, chances are that the fitness program they advertise is not the only reason they look so good.

It is rather unrealistic for most people to have abs like a star athlete or muscles like Arnold. I am not even sure if it’s really healthy. The real answer, in my opinion, is to find a combination of general diet and exercise that you can maintain regularly in order to become fit and stay in shape. This way you are much more likely to reach your normal weight, develop your body and remain this way.
